In order to reduce the number of ‘did not attend’ appointments, we have introduced SMS reminder service for all patients that have registered a mobile telephone number with the practice.
A SMS message will be sent one day before your appointment, reminding you of the time or to cancel if not required.
If you do not wish to receive reminder messages, please advise our reception staff. Likewise, if you have not registered a mobile number and would like to receive an appointment reminder, please ask at reception.
Improving our ‘did not attend’ performance will increase the number of appointments available for all patients and enhance the service we offer to you. If patients had responded to this service it would have allowed us to offer an additional 6 appointments each day during December 2017.
