Nurse Practitioners

Sister Dawn Hamblett (f)

Dawn is qualified as a Registered Nurse with a Diploma in Nursing, Batchelor of Science (Hons) Specialist Practitioner in Community Nursing, Post Graduate Diploma in Long Term Health Conditions and is also an extended prescriber.

Dawn is very experienced in Chronic Disease Managment and acute illnesses.

Mr Karl Hansen (m)

 is very experienced in Chronic Disease Managment and acute illnesses

Danielle Clark (f)

is a Trained Paramedic and will be seeing patients who are acutely unwell with coughs, colds, Urine Infections and accidental injuries.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses.

The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears. They also deal with health issues such as:

 

  • Family Planning
  • Travel Vaccinations
  • Adult and Child Immunisations
  • Healthy Living Advice
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Dressings

Practice Lead for the Nursing Team.

Skills in Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes, Respiratory conditions, Heart Disease, Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking.

Sister Tilley (f)

Skills in Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes, Respiratory conditions, Heart Disease, Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking.

Sister Morgan (f)

Skills in Chronic Disease Management including Respiratory conditions, Heart Disease, Diabetes, Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking. Cryotherapy, Minor Surgery, Research and Development.

Sister Littlefair (f)

Skills in Chronic Disease Management including Respiratory conditions, Heart Disease, Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking. Cryotherapy and Minor Surgery.

Sister Anderson (f)

Skills in Chronic Disease Management including Respiratory conditions, Heart Disease, Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking. Holds dedicated BP & AF clinics.

Sister Turner (f)

Skills in Chronic Disease Management plus Immunisations, Vaccinations, Childhood Immunisations, Women's Health including various types of contraception and smear taking.

Mrs Nicola Nutt (f)

Trained to take blood tests, Staple and stitch removal, injections and immunisations, ECG's, smears, Dressings and Ear Irrigation.

Healthcare Assistants

Health Care Assistants - Linda, Denise and Amanda support the Practice Nurses and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (complimented by Dawn and Maxine who are receptionists who are also trained as phlebotomist), INR monitoring, blood pressure measurement, height, weight, new patient checks, NHS Health Checks, ECG's, Audio tests and assist with Minor Operation Procedures. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
