Practice Nurses are qualified and Registered Nurses.


 


The Practice Nurse Team runs clinics for long term health conditions such as Asthma & COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension & AF. 


 


They also deal with other health issues, including:


*Cervical Screening & Women's Health


*Family Planning


*Adult & Childhood Vaccinations (including travel) 


*Lifestyle Advice


*Blood Pressure & Weight checks


*Dressings


*Ear Syringing

Healthcare Assistants

Health Care Assistants - Linda, Denise and Amanda support the Practice Nurses and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (complimented by our Phlebotomists Dawn and Maxine), INR monitoring, blood pressure measurement, height, weight, new patient checks, NHS Health Checks, ECG's, Audio tests and assist with Minor Operation Procedures. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
